I can't load VKC!!! I get message that I don't have proper license - though I have installed it?? Please advice... You need to install at least two of the activation codes found on the ?Steinberg Key Activation Code? paper that is included in the package to run Scarbee Vintage Keyboard Collection: 1) Halion Player OEM Scarbee VKC (The Sounds/Content) AND 2) Halion Player OEM (The Halion Player) Remember to reboot computer after installing the license. Ok - got the license installed, but now I load Player and I can't load any programs - where are they?? You cannot load a .hsb file directly. HALion Player needs to know the location of the .hsb file on your hard disk and then displays the programs contained in a located .hsb file in the list of programs. Once the content files are available on your hard drive, you must use the Locate Content function to instruct HALion Player where to find the files. The Locate Content function is used to ?show? HALion Player where the .hsb files are. Once the content has been located, it is displayed as a list in the Load Program pop-up menu. To use the Locate Content feature, proceed as follows: 1. Click on the blue ?ball? icon to the right of the Q controls ? it will open The Player Options. 2. In the Player Options dialog, select ?Locate content??. A file dialog appears. By default, the function looks for .hsb files. 3. Locate and select the desired file(s) and click ?Open?. When you now open the Load Program pop-up menu, the programs contained in the located .hsb files are displayed in the list and can be used in HALion Player. Remember to select each of the 7 content files and ?locate? them. ? Note that when you install new content files (.hsb) on your hard disk, you have to use Locate Content again to make this new content available in HALion Player. Hey - I hear a lot of noise when playing the D6-C!! The samples are NOT noisy! The noise you hear when playing an instrument CAN BE TURNED COMPLETELY OFF ? without changing the brilliance of the instrument sound, since the Noise Sound is a special layer and not a part of the samples/sounds. For each instrument we recorded the original noise before we removed the noise from the samples using clever noise-reduction. We made certain that samples were not degraded in quality after the removing of the noise ? not even the highest frequences. Noise Vol: Default setting is the exact original level of noise. Noise will play along with other samples when you hit a key and since the noise sample is mapped to 1 note polyphony you always get the same amount of noise whether you play 1 or 30 keys. Feel the magic when you turn down noise to zero!! Noise Rel: Here you can adjust the release time of the noise. Default setting is 4.25 seconds. If you want noise to be present the whole time in a song or live you may set it longer. I Can't copy DVD's to my Hard Drive! This is unfortunately a quite common problems with DVD's. First of all make sure your DVD player is compatible with DVD-R, since our DVD's are burned in DVD-R format. Also try upgrading the firmware of your DVD player or buy a new one. DVD and CD drives are worn out pretty fast as lasers are turn on each time you boot computer. So after a year or two the CD or DVD player may already be bad. Does VKC work in Logic Pro 7.1 - Mac OSX Tiger? Yes - if you download latest 3.2 version or later. Please go to Steinberg Halion Forum and download it!!! My music computer is not online so I made the license transfer on another computer, but now I can't open Halion Player!! You need to download install latest Syncrosoft License Control Center. Go to www.syncrosoft.com on both the remote (online computer) and also install SAME version on the Music computer. If versions of SLCC are different you will run into problems. The latest version is OSX Tiger compatible |
